One of my all-time favourites is garlic bread with lashings of melted garlic butter. It just melts in your mouth. Homemade garlic butter is really easy to make from scratch. It's also very versatile so it is well worth it. Unfortunately, its just one of those things where brown bread just doesn't cut it in my view. So it's fluffy white bread all the way. Here we show how to make garlic butter that's ideal for garlic bread & other recipes. It's a quick and simple recipe and you can make a plain or garlic herb butter. Several ideas for herbs are mentioned below. I have used my own homemade butter however you can use shop bought if you prefer. How to Make Garlic Butter Simple ingredients to make garlic butter. Garlic crusher form Amazon You can do it manually, however, I prefer to use a garlic crusher similar to the one above. How to Make an Easy Garlic Butter This is a simple garlic butter I made with the butter I had previously made. You can simply use normal shop bought butter if you don't want to make it. 200 Unsalted butter (You can use shopbought but if you want to see how to make your own you can see my post from the picture below.)Salt203 cloves Garlic cloveFresh Parsley (optional) Crush your garlic cloves and mince them up until they are really fine.Add your butter and salt if you are using it.Mix the garlic and the butter together with a whisk until it is fine.Now it is ready to put onto your bread for baking or another recipe of choice. Note 1: The reason I use unsalted butter and then add salt is I like to control my salt intake and I find some brands of salted butter are too salty. You can use salted butter or even no salt if you prefer. Note 2: Increase or decrease the amounts of ingredients as necessary. Note 3: I used 3 cloves as when crushing them you lose some and don't get as much as you think. 3 cloves was a nice mild flavour. This recipe is inspired by this Herbed Garlic butter from Denyse. Popular herbs of choice for a herbed garlic butter are Parley, Basil & oregano. You can also use pepper. Of course, you can also leave them out as I have done here if you prefer.
