I just love this simple recipe for blueberries, the soft yet crunchy meringue nests combined with the juicy blue fruits and liquid juicy taste of chocolate makes this a perfect taste of luxury dessert perfect for summer when you don't want to cook on a hot stove. I've created these to be super easy to make and you can whip them up in no time. Now if you want to you can make your own meringue nests or sauces, (sauce recipe and clotted cream recipe are also below) but here I have used shop bought ones (shame on me lol) for ease. Yep, I want to be outside in the garden in the summer months and my house is like an oven so the less the hob or cooker is on the better I like it. So if you want a quick dessert idea so that you can enjoy the sunny weather and not get too hot in the process these are perfect. Another great thing about these little desserts is they are very versatile. Below I have created a simple chart to give you some options to make different desserts. Easy No Bake Taste of Luxury Blueberry Meringue Nests for Dedicated Sweet Tooths This is only for the serious sweet tooth. My sister moaned at me with this one. I was gutted, I'd set my heart on creating it, I had the photo layout of the meringues in my mind and had added the ingredients to my next shop. It was huge and very VERY sickly, I barely made it through, only willpower and the fact it had set me back a fiver kept me going. The ice cream melted as I drew the long spoon up the glass for one last time. That was it. Finished. It was tough it was agony. Would I do it again? Oh yes. Re-inspired I have decided to create my dessert anyway. But you have been warned. This is for the serious sweet tooth only. (If you want it less sweet simply leave out the chocolate & compote). And because it was on my mind so much I have thought of two others equally only for the serious sweet tooth. But they will be spread out as I am supposed to be on the Mediterranean diet and all this sweet stuff is just too much temptation. Luxury Easy No Bake Blueberry Fruit Meringue Nests You might have noticed the lack of chocolate on the pictures that is because it was baking hot weather when I decided to create the recipe. Unfortunately, the chocolate quickly became a sticky mess, very tasty, but a mess none the less. No Bake Baking Easy No Bake Luxury Blueberry Fruit Meringue Recipe These blueberry meringue nests with berries are so quick and easy to make yet they look and feel like a luxury treat. You can get this over most of the UK and in the US in British import or speciality stores and online Good old Amazon. While it is not quite the same as in the UK according to the reviews it's fairly near. *Notes on Chocolate and Sweet Freedom. I like to use sweet freedom as it is healthier and fewer calories than just chocolate sauce. You can get it in the supermarket or online at Amazon. You don't have to use it though you can just as easily use a dark chocolate sauce or even make it yourself if you prefer. To make different desserts you can remove the orange and replace with many different fruits. Strawberries, for example, are popular.
